    A week into our new roles the members of the Committee are all feeling energised and very positive about the future of our Shop & Café. We have taken on board many of the suggestions that we have received and implemented some already. The Staff are fully committed and good communications between us all - Manager, Staff, Committee and Community - will ensure that we work as a team with a united goal.

  • The WI Centenary Baton Relay

    On the morning of March 19 the Shop & Cafe hosted an exotic event featuring a fire engine with a full complement of ladies in 1915 costumes, a Watsonian motorbike and sidecar carrying Sheila Weir, former WI President, wearing period costume including goggles and her mother’s high heels, and a bewildered group of nursery school children.

  • Another enjoyable Hub lunch

    The Blockley Lunch Club is going really well. Since December over 60 people have enjoyed a two-course home cooked meal in the café for a special Hub price of £5. The Club is so popular with Blockley’s over 60s that the lunches are now held twice a month on the second and third Wednesday.

  • Happy days in the Cafe

    The café has been buzzing for the past few weeks. On Shrove Tuesday, Corrin spent the whole day making pancakes and the takings were £600. The next day the second Lunch Club for the over 65s in the parish was held as part of the Hub programme.
