The Blockley café provides a friendly space for social and educational activities organised by the HUB Services Group in partnership with other community groups and outside organisations. The aim is to ensure that the new building is used by all groups in the community, from mothers and young children to older people looking for an opportunity to meet old friends or learn new skills.
A Lunch Club for older residents is run twice a month in partnership with the local charity Cotswold Friends, which provides administrative support and drivers to collect people who need a lift. The two-course set menu, which costs £5, has been enjoyed by over 70 people since the club started in December.

Bromford Housing Drop-in
A representative from the local housing association offers a monthly drop-in session before the lunch club to help with questions relating to finance, benefits and housing.
A regular Digital Drop-in is also available in the Café once a month. The free drop-in is popular with people needing a bit of extra help to make the most of their iPad, laptop or phone for email, Skype, organising documents etc.
The café also provides a congenial venue for regular meetings of the University of the Third Age and joint activities with groups such as the Women's Institute and the Blockley Amateur Dramatic Company.
Future HUB projects include activities for young teenagers, hosting the annual Gloucestershire Libraries Reading Challenge, and knit and natter or whist afternoons for the elderly.
